Meeting Point
The meeting point is at Mile 12, at the end of Arizona State Road 386 (Kitt Peak Road). This is the entrance to Kitt Peak National Observatory. Please use a reliable GPS or map, as signage is limited and mobile signal may be weak in the area. Guests must arrive and depart in their own vehicle or as part of a pre-arranged group. Due to observatory regulations, drop-off by taxi or rideshare is not permitted unless the driver remains on-site for the entire duration of your visit and has a paid ticket. All vehicles must depart together in a convoy at the end of the evening program to protect ongoing scientific research. If you arrive by rideshare, the driver must purchase a ticket and stay with you for the full duration of the activity. Plan your transport in advance, as there is no public transport or taxi service available at the observatory.
